Ten books that have stayed with me (in no particular order):
1 - Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling

Let me take this opportunity to feature the new boxed set with new art that my boyfriend got me for Christmas - how did I not know it existed?! So pretty!
2 - The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien
My obsession with LOTR is so persistent and strong, it’s best that the details aren’t made public.
3 - Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine

I haven’t read this book in years, and most people only know it by the terrible movie adaptation. I must’ve read it fifteen times when I was younger, and it’s magical.
4 - Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth
One of my more recent reads. The tone changes drastically from Divergent to the end of Allegiant, and ending is hard to take. I loved the world though, and the point Roth went for.
5 - The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

The book is lovely, but the community behind it is what makes it stick even more - at least to me.
6 - Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I almost chose Emma or Persuasion to be less cliché…but I couldn’t help but choose P&P. Sigh, it was my first Austen novel.
7 - Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery

Such a feel-good series. No matter where I’ve been in life (middle-school, college, and on…ugh), there’s been a book in the series that is perfect to remind me where the lovely things are.
8 - The Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix

I’ve read these a few times since middle school, and I love the Old Kingdom! Lirael is my favorite…because of the library, of course.
9 - Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë

Beautiful, powerful, and with a nice air of mystery (air….see what I did there?).
10 - 1984 by George Orwell
Because it’s 1984.
